The best touristic places of Paros island are Parikia and Naousa, two villages that concentrate the majority of tourism and nightlife of the island. In Parikia the capital and port of the island is the unique church "Ekantatopyliani", named after its 100 gates. Naousa is also a traditional village, with small alleys, full of fashion shops, coffee shops with traditional Greek desserts, bars and taverns with Greek food. Near Naousa there is Kolimbithres beach one of the island most famous beaches. In Paros island there is also Golden Beach (Chrisi Akti) a famous beach for windsurfers. It is worth to rent a car, to go around mountain villages, like Lefka and the fishing village Alikes for lunch at one of the local fish taverns.
